
Individual Use of Accounts and Account Responsibilities
Your DECUServe account is for your use exclusively. Although you are
welcome to ask for information for others, and to share the information
you get from DECUServe, your account may be used only by you. You are
personally responsible for all activity of this account. You are
personally responsible for all postings made from your account.
Postings to DECUServe include, but are not limited to, any notes
entered in any conference on the DECUServe computer system, as well as
code, files, or other information submitted to any part of the
DECUServe computer system.
Use of Postings at Subscriber's Risk
All postings on DECUServe are provided for use, including further
distribution and/or modification, at your own risk. DECUS, DECUServe,
and the contributor make no warranty of any posting, including, without
limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability and fitness.
Itar, Proprietary, Classified Information Restrictions
DECUServe prohibits postings that contain technical information that is
proprietary, classified under U.S. Government secrecy laws, controlled
by any nondisclosure agreements of any sort, or governed by the U.S.
Department of State's International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR),
or otherwise illegal or unethical.
Recruiting Restrictions
DECUServe subscribers may post job-wanted and job-available notices in
the EMPLOYMENT conference. Notices must conform to the rules posted in
that conference.
Using information obtained from the DECUServe system to make unwanted
contact with others is prohibited.
Selling Restrictions
DECUServe subscribers may post product marketing announcements in the
INDUSTRY NEWS conference. Notices must conform to the rules posted in
that conference. Prices may be provided in addition to technical
information, but overt marketing is not welcome.
Professional Conduct
Subscribers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner
marked by integrity and a spirit of fair play. Any use of language or
implication that may be offensive to others is STRONGLY discouraged.
Final Authority
The DECUS Board of Directors reserves the right to determine if any
activity is in violation of the Canons of Conduct.
